TWO FAMILIES IN Co Meath are having another good Friday.

The syndicate made the trip down to Dublin today to collect their lotto winnings of €10,650,121, after picking up the winning ticket last weekend.

It is the second Lotto jackpot to be won this year.

The winners bought the ticket in Souhan’s Filling Station, Haggard Street, Trim last Saturday before doing some shopping.

They relied on a fairly low-tech method for checking their numbers.

“I was watching Match of the Day that evening and thought, I better check that ticket, so I looked up the results on Teletext,” one of the winners said.

I looked up at the numbers and down at the ticket, over and over and over again.

So the plans now? The winners hope to help their families, pay off the mortgage, and buy a new car “or two”.

If you’re feeling a little jealous – tomorrow’s jackpot is worth €2 million.
