Dublin syndicate collects Lotto winnings of over €8 million

The winning ticket was bought in Tesco in Wicklow Shopping Centre.

A SYNDICATE OF two from Dublin became Lotto millionaires after picking up their cheque for over €8.1 million.

This is the biggest win of the year so far as the jackpot had been rolling since 30 November 2013 and included a €1 million top up added on 21 December to celebrate Christmas.

Wicklow

The winning ticket a €4 Quick Pick ticket in Tesco, Wicklow Shopping Centre in Wicklow Town on the day of the draw.

Speaking as they picked up their cheque, the winners said:

We can’t believe our luck. What a way to kick off the New Year!

The winners wish to remain anonymous and are still considering their plans for the new fortune.

It seems that if you are looking to win the Lotto, Tesco in Wicklow might be your best bet as just last September they sold a EuroMillions Match 5 + 1 Lucky Star winning ticket worth €272,629.

Another lucky store is Tesco in Mullingar who sold the €1 million top prize winning ticket in the Christmas Millionaire Raffle draw on New Year’s Eve. The winner is yet to claim that that prize – so check your ticket.
