LOUTH BOSS AIDAN O’Rourke has drafted in three new players for their round two All-Ireland SFC qualifier against Kildare on Saturday night.
The Wee County face the Lilywhites in Newbridge at 7pm as they seek to build on their opening qualifier 1-17 to 1-11 victory over Antrim a fortnight ago.
Shane McCoy gets the nod to start in goal as he replaces Neil Gallagher who was sent-off during that win against Antrim.
John O’Brien and Ray Finnegan are handed spots in the wing-back berths where they will flank centre-back Derek Crilly.
Positional changes see Brian White move to midfield, Conor Rafferty switch at centre-forward and Adrian Reid is selected at wing-forwad.
Conor McGuinness and Brian Donnelly are the players to make way for what will be the first senior football championship meeting between Kildare and Louth since the 2010 Leinster quarter-final which Louth won by 1-22 to 1-16.
LOUTH: Shane McCoy; Padraig Rath, Dessie Finnegan, John Bingham; John O’Brien, Derek Crilly, Ray Finnegan; Paddy Keenan, Brian White; Ciaran Byrne, Conor Rafferty, Adrian Reid; Derek Maguire, Shane Lennon, Colm Judge.
