Tram failure causes Luas delays in city centre

Dublin Bus are accepting valid tickets.

DUE TO A tram failure in the city centre at Heuston, the Luas Red Line services are currently running between Saggart/Tallaght and Blackhorse only.

Operators of the Luas, Transdev, said that the failure of the tram is due to technical error.

The tram failed at Stephen’s Lane lane just after the Heuston stop.

There is no Luas service between Blackhorse and The Point, but Dublin Bus are accepting all valid Luas tickets for the duration of this disruption.

Attempts to tow the failed tram back to the depot are proving difficult with the second attempt failing this afternoon.

The Luas Red Line is operating normally.

They said they would like to apologise for any inconvenience caused to customers.

The Luas is celebrating its tenth birthday today.
