Have you seen this car? It left the scene of a serious accident

A man was seriously injured in the incident.

GARDAÍ ARE TRYING to find out more information on a serious collision in which a man was seriously injured in Lucan.

They launched an appeal for witnesses to the serious road traffic collision, which occurred at Ballyowen Road, Lucan, on the evening of Saint Patrick’s Day, Tuesday 17 March 2015 at approximately 7pm.

The collision involved two cars:

  • A grey coloured Volkswagen Polo
  • A black coloured Mazda hatchback, partial registration 07 LH 2xxx.

The male driver of the Volkswagen Polo, who was in his early 70s, suffered serious injuries and was taken to James Connolly Memorial Hospital, Blanchardstown.

The driver of the second car failed to remain at scene.

It is believed that a number of people may have witnessed this collision.
