KO’ed Romelu Lukaku did not know he had scored debut Everton winner

The Belgian asked the team physio who had scored his side’s last goal. Mate, you did.

ROMELU LUKAKU IMMEDIATELY endeared himself to Everton supporters when he scored a late winner on his competitive debut.

The Belgian, signed on loan from Chelsea during the latest transfer window, bravely flung himself at a cross and headed home to give the Toffees a 3 — 2 win over West Ham at Upton Park.

Lukaku knocked himself out in the process and was unaware, after three minutes of on-field treatment, that he had scored the winner. Speaking to the BBC after the game, the striker revealed he had asked the Everton physio ‘who scored?’ when he came through. ‘You did’ was the reply.
