Detained

Man arrested for armed robbery on security van

A 25-year-old man remains in custody.

A MAN HAS been arrested following an armed robbery on a cash-in-transit van in Coleraine, Co Derry.

At around 1.45pm yesterday, two men, one armed with a gun and the other with a crowbar, threaten the driver of the van in Riverside Retail Park in the town.

The two men then made off with the cash box.

The officers investigating the incident arrested a 25-year-old male in the Drumtarsey area a short time after the incident.

He remains in custody at this time.
