Man collapses and remains in serious condition in hospital after Dublin marathon

The man in his late twenties collapsed as he crossed the finish line and was treated before being rushed to hospital.

A MAN IN his late twenties remains in a serious condition in hospital after collapsing over the finish line at today’s Dublin Marathon.

The man fell on his head as he finished the race this afternoon and was treated by members of St. John Ambulance who revived him and administered CPR at the scene.

The man was then rushed by ambulance to St. Vincent’s hospital where he remains in a stable but serious conditions.

Race organisers said that people are often treated after they finish a marathon but this incident was much more serious.

The exact cause of nature of what happened to man is not yet known.
