The Yes Equality campaign today held  a press conference to thank all of its supporters. It said that social media had a huge role to play in the campaign, stating that #MarRef had a reach of 11.1 million.

It wasn’t just Joe Bloggs who was getting involved. Some of the world’s best known politicians and celebrities also joined in on the conversation.

Needless to say, there is a new hashtag taking over today. #HungoverForEquality.

Don’t worry. It will be remembered in history.
