IRELAND PROP MARTY has been released from hospital after suffering what appeared to be a serious neck injury during Wasps’ Aviva Premiership win over Newcastle yesterday.
The former Leinster man required lengthy medical treatment on the pitch before being stretchered off 10 minutes into the game at the Ricoh Arena.
Wasps director of rugby, Dai Young, confirmed afterwards that Moore had been taken to hospital after sustaining neck pains during a collapsed scrum.
However, the 25-year-old has been discharged after CT scans of his neck returned clear.
“Marty has been discharged from hospital, having been referred for scans as a precautionary measure,” a Wasps statement read.
“The CT scans of his neck were clear and he has since returned home. Marty will follow up with Wasps medical staff on Monday morning to assess his progress.”
Moore was last week left out of Joe Schmidt’s squad for the November Internationals following his move to England at the end of last season.
