Strawberry and chocolate milk recalled over risk of choking

The product is being recalled in the UK and Ireland.

CHOCOLATE AND STRAWBERRY milk is being recalled due to the possible risk of a choking hazard.

All batches of 330ml MaxiNutrition Cyclone Milk in both flavours are being recalled by GlaxoSmithKline.

It’s due to one of the ingredients, creatine, crystallising in some products. If consumed it could cause a possible choking hazard and injury to the mouth.

The Food Safety Authority of Ireland has issued a release for Ireland. The product has also been recalled in the UK with the Food Standards Agency warning, “If you have bought the above product, do not drink it.

“Instead, return it to the store from where it was bought from for a refund.”

The decision to recall was taken following an investigation after the company received complaints.

The company issued a customer notice which stated that it is investigating all reports of incidents.
