GALWAY TRAVEL TO Castlebar tonight hoping to bring a losing run at the hands of Mayo to an end.
Recent Connacht senior championship clashes have not been enjoyable occasions for the Galway footballers.
- 2013: Mayo 4-16 Galway 0-11 – Connacht quarter-final
- 2014: Mayo 3-14 Galway 0-16 – Connacht final
- 2015: Mayo 1-15 Galway 2-8 – Connacht semi-final
So the Tribesmen head to Elverys MacHale Park with the aim of bringing that losing streak to a halt. It’s Galway’s first championship outing in 2016 and their first competitive game since taking on Cavan on 3 April.
Mayo will want to continue to assert their dominance in Connacht and follow up last month’s opening success over London.
Roscommon await the winners on 10 July in the decider but we want to know what do you think will be the outcome tonight?
Let us know.
