Mayo want postponement of next Saturday's All-Ireland semi-final replay in Limerick

The Gaelic Grounds in Limerick is set to be the venue for Saturday’s replay.

MAYO ARE SET to seek a postponement of next Saturday’s replay against Kerry with the game currently set to be held in the unique setting of the Gaelic Grounds in Limerick. James Horan wants the game moved back a week so that it can be played in Croke Park.

The reason for the move to the Gaelic Grounds is because the GAA HQ is unavailable due to the Croke Park Classic, which sees Penn State take on UCF in a college American football game.

It would be an intriguing spectacle to see such a high-profile game played outside of Croke Park. There was a special atmosphere in Semple Stadium when Kerry met Dublin in the All-Ireland quarter final in 2001, so if the Gaelic Grounds is the venue for the replay, hopefully it can conjure up something similar.

Should Mayo’s Lee Keegan have been sent off for this?
