Mayo v Dublin abandoned match refixed for March 31

No throw-in time has been confirmed for the rescheduled game in McHale Park, Castlebar.

MAYO AND DUBLIN’S abandoned National Football League Division 1 fixture has been rescheduled for Saturday 31 March in McHale Park, Castlebar.

The Central Competitions Control Committee (CCCC) confirmed the new date following a meeting this afternoon, with the throw-in time still to be decided.

Heavy fog forced referee Marty Duffy called a halt to proceedings at half-time last Saturday, with Dublin leading by 0-08 to 0-05 at the break.

Both the Mayo and the Dublin County Boards originally indicated that the game had been rescheduled for this coming Saturday 18 February at 2pm, which raised the possibility of a clash with both the refixed O’Byrne Cup final on Friday night and the first round of interprovincial games which take place on Sunday.
