McAlister doubtful for Munster clash, Noves admits

Toulouse have been hit by a string of injury woes ahead of the Thomond Park showdown.

FORMER NEW ZEALAND fly-half Luke McAlister remains a doubt for Toulouse’s European Cup quarter-final clash with Munster in Limerick at the weekend, coach Guy Noves said today.

McAlister will undergo further tests midweek to see if his lower back lumbago has cleared up.

Toulouse have been hit by a string of injury woes ahead of the clash with French flanker Yannick Nyanga struggling with a right ankle sprain, although he is expected to feature at Limerick’s Thomond Park.

Samoan prop Census Johnston, who was stretchered off against Stade Francais just over a week ago, has undergone a scan which showed nothing serious.

Back-row Louis Picamoles is also sidelined with a pelvis injury and is a doubt, Noves added.

Toulouse are struggling in the Top 14 and are on the edge of the top six play-off places with three matches of the regular season left to play.
