MULTIMILLIONAIRE PLAYBOY FOOTBALLERS can get a bad rap for their off-the-field antics but 19-year-old AC Milan striker Stephan El Sharaaway has proven there’s an upside to having all that spare cash.
Yesterday, El Sharaawy presented a defibrillator to Legino Calcio 1919, with whom he played until he was 14.
According to acmilan.com, the gift was a joint effort between the young striker and the club in response to the death of Italian footballer Piermario Morosini during a Serie B match earlier this month.
Morosini’s death initiated calls for defibrillators to be on standby at football matches across every level of the sport in Italy and, while that may take some time to implement, actions such as El Shaarawy’s are likely to provoke a further positive response from authorities.
