The sexual assault charges against Mils Muliaina have been dropped

Muliaina will face no further prosecution.

FORMER ALL BLACK and Connacht player Mils Muliaina has had the sexual assault charges brought against him dropped.

The 35-year-old was alleged to have committed the offence in Cardiff on March 7, following Connacht’s defeat to the Blues several hours earlier.

The fullback was questioned by police following their trip to Gloucester in the Challange Cup the following month, before being officially charged in July.

He appeared at Cardiff Crown Court in September for a hearing, before being expected to go on trial next February.

It was heard that he allegedly touched a 19-year-old woman “on the bottom over her trousers” in a nightclub, but the charges have this morning been dropped, due to lack of evidence.
