Monaghan make 2 changes as Cavan stick with same side

The teams clash in Saturday’s Ulster senior football semi-final.

MONAGHAN BOSS MALACHY O’Rourke has made two changes for Saturday’s Ulster senior football semi-final against Cavan.

Drew Wylie and Stephen Gollogly are drafted into the starting fifteen at full-back and wing-forward respectively.

Fintan Kelly and Owen Duffy, who is unavailable after suffering a recent ankle injury in a club championship game, are the two players that make way.

The experienced Dick Clerkin is a doubt after sustaining a hand injury while in action for his club Currin recently.

But he is named to start in the team alongside Gollogly and Finlay in the half-forward line as Monaghan seek to build on their victory the last day against Antrim.

MONAGHAN: Rory Beggan (Scotstown); Dessie Mone (Clontibret), Drew Wylie (Ballybay), Colin Walshe (Doohamlet); Vincent Corey (Clontibret), Neil McAdam (Monaghan Harps), Kieran Duffy (Latton); Owen Lennon (Latton), Darren Hughes (Scotstown); Stephen Gollogly (Carrickmacross), Paul Finlay (Ballybay), Dick Clerkin (Currin); Christopher McGuinness (Ballybay), Kieran Hughes (Scotstown), Conor McManus (Clontibret).

Cavan have announced an unchanged team for the clash which takes place in Clones at 7pm.

Manager Terry Hyland has opted to keep faith with the side that overturned Fermanagh in their quarter-final tie.
