Morgan Schneiderlin set for Goodison Park switch as Everton agree terms with Man Utd

The move will mean even more competition in Everton’s midfield for James McCarthy.

EVERTON HAVE AGREED to sign Manchester United midfielder Morgan Schneiderlin for a fee of £22 million (€25.5 million), according to reports in the English media.

The Daily Telegraph claim a deal is in place between both clubs for the transfer of the 27-year-old French midfielder, who is set to complete the move to Goodison Park before the weekend.

The move will mean even more competition in Everton’s midfield, amid news that Ireland midfielder James McCarthy has been the subject of a number of loan bids so far in the January transfer window.

Jose Mourinho has used Schneiderlin sparingly this season, with the midfielder making just eight appearances so far.

The United boss indicated last month that he wouldn’t stand in Schneiderlin’s way if he wanted to leave.
