DUBLIN HURLER CONAL KEANEY has been ruled out action for the rest of the Championship season after being injured in a road accident this morning.

The Ballyboden man, who has been one of the Dubs’ stars in both league and Championship this season, is believed to have been travelling to work on a motorbike when he was involved in an accidental collision with a van.

Speaking to TheScore.ie this afternoon, a Dublin spokesperson confirmed that Keaney was taken to Tallaght Hospital following the incident where doctors treated him for a broken ankle.

The news comes as a blow to Anthony Daly’s men, just 48 hours ahead of Sunday’s crunch All-Ireland quarter-final against Limerick in Semple Stadium.
