A MAN WAS told to “put his jeans on” after he became “overexcited” while lining up for the World Naked Bike Ride in Kent in the UK.
Kent Online says the man was pulled aside by Kent Police and told to “calm down” before he was taken away.
The cycle, which aims to highlight air pollution and the dangers faced by cyclists on the road, was being held in Canterbury despite some objections.
As the event was getting underway the man was spoken to by police with event organiser Barry Freeman later confirming what happened.
“We do not accept this behaviour and he was dealt with and removed before the ride started,” Freeman said in a post on Facebook.
Police also confirmed to Mashable that “one individual was spoken to by the protest organiser and stewards and he was required to get dressed and leave the protest.”
“His details were taken by police but no action will be taken against the man,” Kent Police told the website.
The riders left Canterbury Cathedral at 3.30pm on Saturday with local resident Shannon Walters telling Kent Online saying that the bike ride is not appropriate.
“They claim they are protesting about safety but hardly any are wearing helmets. If they fall off, that’s not going to help them either,” she said.
