MIAMI HEAT STAR LeBron James missed two free throws late in his side’s 78-75 loss to the Indiana Pacers in the NBA play-offs on Tuesday.

The Pacers drew level in their Eastern Conference semi-final series by winning game two at Miami’s AmericanAirlines Arena, squaring the series at 1-1 after James missed two free throws in the final minute.

James missed from the stripe with the Pacers up 76-75, before free throws from George Hill (15 points) and Roy Hibbert (eight points) sealed the thrilling win for Indiana.

David West shot a team-high 16 points and picked up 10 rebounds, while Hibbert and Paul George (both 11 rebounds) were also prominent off the boards.

James did shoot 28 points for the defeated Heat, while Dwyane Wade netted 24.

Game three sees the sides head to Indiana’s Bankers Life Fieldhouse on Thursday.

In the day’s other contest, the San Antonio Spurs vindicated their favouritism as they earned a 108-92 win over the Los Angeles Clippers.

Tim Duncan top scored for the Spurs with 26 points while also collecting 10 rebounds, while Manu Ginobli – who did not start on the court – shot 22 points at the AT&T Center.

The Clippers were led by Eric Bledsoe, who also started on the bench, and finished with 23 points.

San Antonio now lead their Western Conference semi-final series 1-0, and will again be in front of their home fans for game two on Thursday.
