Newcastle make fun of Mitrovic's appalling disciplinary record with brilliant birthday wish

The Magpies striker, in the middle of a three-match suspension, turns 21 today.

THEY MAY BE bottom of the table, but Newcastle United have still got a sense of humour.

Magpies striker Aleksandar Mitrovic, a £14.5 million (€20m) summer signing from Anderlecht, celebrates his 21st birthday today.

Known to ‘put himself about’, the Serbian international has already picked up two yellow cards and one red in his first four Premier League matches — plus another booking while on international duty (incredibly, the 47th of his relatively short professional career) earlier this month.

Mitrovic is currently suspended after his sending off in the defeat to Arsenal but whoever is in charge of the club’s Twitter account sees the funny side of his disciplinary record, tweeting:

No Thursday nights, Channel 5 (ITV or TV3) for Liverpool or Celtic this season
