No-match Djokovic as former world number one announces he won't play again in 2017

The former world number one retired injured at Wimbledon.

NOVAK DJOKOVIC WILL not play again in 2017.

The 12-time Grand Slam winner made the announcement today citing an elbow injury.

The former world number one has not played since retiring injured during his Wimbledon quarter-final with Tomas Berdych on 12 July.

Djokovic, 30, will miss the year’s final Grand Slam event, the US Open — an event he has won twice — at the end of August as well the remainder of the men’s tour.
