Ice hockey rivals unite for a three-city tribute to Canada's dead soldiers

Corporal Nathan Cirillo and Warrant Officer Patrice Vincent were killed in separate attacks on Wednesday.

THREE ICE HOCKEY rivals staged a moving tribute last night to the soldiers killed in Canada this week.

Before last night’s NHL games the Toronto Maple Leafs, Montreal Canadiens and Ottawa Senators held simultaneous moments of silence in honour of Corporal Nathan Cirillo and Warrant Officer Patrice Vincent.

All three cities then co-ordinated for a rendition of the Canadian national anthem, ‘O Canada.’

Cirillo and Vincent were killed in separate attacks in Ottawa and Montreal on Wednesday.
