One last dance: Mick O'Driscoll handed Baa-Baas call-up

The Munster veteran is one of five Irish-based players in the Barbarians’ squad for their upcoming summer tour.

MUNSTER VETERAN MICK O’DRISCOLL will lace up his boots once more before retiring when he joins the Barbarians for their three-match summer tour.

The 33-year-old played his 207th and final game for Munster in last week’s defeat against Ospreys but has been included in the Baa-Baas’ 33-man squad to face England, Ireland and Wales.

It is the first time that O’Driscoll has been called up to the invitational side. The second row is one of five Irish-based players in John Kirwan’s panel, joining Munster pack mate BJ Botha, Leinster star Isa Nacewa and Ulster duo John Afoa and Pedrie Wannenburg.

The Barbarians open their tour against England in Twickenham on 27 May followed by games against Ireland in Kingsholm on 29 May and Wales in the Millennium Stadium on 2 June.
