NOW THAT THE second Champions League semi-final is finished, we’re all set for a Chelsea-Bayern final.
Chelsea secured an impressive victory over the supposed best team in Europe last night, showing incredible resilience, progressing against Guardiola’s men despite going down to ten men.
They have a wealth of Champions League experience, with players like Frank Lampard, Petr Cech and Didier Drogba having acquired a number of appearances in Europe over the years.
However, they will be without key players such as John Terry and Ramires through suspension, and are currently only sitting in sixth position in the Premier League.
Meanwhile, Bayern, like Chelsea, will also be without key players and can no longer win their domestic league either.
However, they deservedly advanced against Real Madrid tonight, beating them on penalties, and would arguably be considered favourites on account of their slightly superior domestic form.
