It's official: O'Rourke named new Louth manager

The former All-Star has been appointed to the position on a two-year term.

AIDAN O’ROURKE WILL take over as the new manager of Louth, it has been confirmed.

The ex-Armagh footballer comes in for Peter Fitzpatrick, who resigned last July, after Louth were eliminated from this summer’s championship by Wexford in the first round of the All-Ireland qualifiers.

The former All-Star has signed on for a two-year term with an option of a third year.

He had previously held a role as a selector for Down, and had a failed application to become Monaghan boss earlier in the year.
