Out of action: Mayo's O'Shea sidelined for six weeks

Meanwhile, Andy Moran has been named as the team’s new captain.

MAYO STAR AIDAN O’Shea is likely to be absent for six weeks after suffering a groin injury.

He picked up the injury just prior to his side’s Allianz Division 1 semi-final win over Kerry, and will now miss the final this Sunday.

Meanwhile, Andy Moran was named as his side’s captain earlier in the week, while David Clarke was confirmed as vice captain.

The team for their upcoming clash with Cork will be announced later this week, with Seamus O’Shea and Alan Freeman both doubtful for the game.
