Cork hurler Paudie O'Sullivan suffers serious leg injury

The Rebels attacker was stretchered off in a club game tonight.

CORK’S PAUDIE O’SULLIVAN is set for a lengthy spell on the sidelines after a suspected shin bone break in a club match tonight.

O’Sullivan suffered the horrific injury while in action for East Cork divisional outfit Imokilly in a county senior hurling championship game against third-level side Cork IT.

The 24 year-old was stretchered off after the incident and left the Carrigtwohill venue in an ambulance. The game was subsequently abandoned as a result.

The Rebels forward injury is a huge setback for Jimmy Barry-Murphy’s Cork side and places his involvement in this season’s campaign in real doubt.

O’Sullivan, a younger brother of former Cork defensive legend Diarmuid, has emerged as a key attacker for the county in recent seasons.
