Lowry 3-under for the day as storms see PGA Championship play suspended

Tiger Woods was three-under for the day through seven holes when play was suspended.

THREATENING WEATHER HAS suspended play in Friday’s second round of the 100th PGA Championship at Bellerive Country Club.

American Gary Woodland leads on 10 under par after a second-round 66 with half the field of 156 still playing on the 7,316-yard layout.

Shane Lowry is best placed of the Irish contingent: the Offaly man was three-under for the day when play was suspended, and currently sits in tied-16th on four-under for the tournament.

Rory McIlroy is even-par and tied for 65th, while Padraig Harrington and Paul Dunne are one-over and four-over respectively.

Former world number one Tiger Woods, in his comeback season after spinal fusion surgery, birdied the second, third and fifth holes to stand three-under for the day and the championship through seven holes.
