This man has been on the run from prison for 20 days

Police believe there is a possibility he may be in Northern Ireland.

Updated 29 May, 4.48pm

POLICE HAVE REISSUED an appeal for information about a prisoner who has been on the run for 20 days.

Jonathan Turley, 33, failed to return to prison after being granted bail on Saturday 9 May.

The PSNI believe he has been travelling between Northern Ireland and Ireland. He has also spent time in Belfast and Newcastle.

Turley has an “extensive history of violence” and the public are warned not to approach him as he may pose a risk.

Detective Inspector Mary White said:

I would appeal directly to Mr Turley to hand himself in to the authorities without any further delay and I would also ask anyone who knows of his current whereabouts or who has any information to contact police on 999.
