Poll: Should Trap drop Robbie Keane for the Spain game tomorrow?

Should Ireland’s record goalscorer sit this one out in order to stifle the likes of Xavi and Iniesta in midfield?

AFTER AN UTTERLY dissapointing start to our European Championship campaign, Ireland take on one of the best teams ever to pull on football boots tomorrow night. No biggie.

Ahead of the clash with current world and European champions Spain, manager Giovanni Trapattoni has faced questions about the system he’ll employ in Gdansk.

Will he stick with his trusty system of 4-4-2 and will the same personnel slot into those familiar roles? Or will we see that 4-5-1 idea he mentioned in Budapest?

There has been hints from the Irish camp that Jon Walters will start up front and rather than look for his skipper, Robbie Keane, to fill his much-mentioned ‘Totti role’, he may instead elect to swamp the Spaniards’ renowned midfield with an extra green jersey.

Did someone say, Paul Green?

So, let us know what you think? Should Ireland record goal-scorer, Robbie Keane, sit this one out?
