Quel Esprit ruled out of Gold Cup run

WILLIE MULLINS’ QUEL Esprit has been declared a non-runner in this afternoon’s big race at Cheltenham, the Gold Cup.

Midnight Club is now the trainer’s sole contender in the blue riband event.

Winner of the Irish Hennessy Gold Cup on his last outing, the grey had been the subject of each-way support throughout the week.
