Republic of Ireland stars grilled on WAGs, baldness and ‘looker’ Manuela

“They took our job!”

REPUBLIC OF IRELAND players Sean St Ledger, Stephen Kelly and Conor Sammon faced the press over the weekend but, despite the media corp having an average age of 10, were made to sweat.

The soccer stars took part in a children’s press conference, organised by sponsors ’3′. Sammon was coolness personified but Kelly quaked under pressure as he tried to negotiate the WAG minefield.

There were no questions about young Faroe Islands defender Viljormur Davidsen or Ireland coach Giovanni Trapattoni’s plans to press for goals at Lansdowne Road on Friday. Our jobs are safe… for now.
