Roberts a doubt for Wales' Six Nations campaign

The centre was injured in the Cardiff Blues’ 28-9 defeat of Newport Gwent Dragons, in a game that also featured Gavin Henson’s debut at full-back.

WALES COULD BE without centre Jamie Roberts for the duration of their Six Nations campaign, after he was injured while playing for Cardiff Blues against Newport Gwent Dragons.

Roberts received treatment on two separate occasions, before eventually coming off after 64 minutes, after colliding with Martyn Thomas.

The seriousness of the injury has yet to be confirmed, with Wales travelling to Ireland for their first game of the campaign on February 5 – the first time the two sides will have met since their World Cup quarter-final encounter last June.

The Pro12 encounter, which Cardiff won 28-9, also featured Gavin Henson’s debut at full-back.

Henson signed for the Blues on a short-term contract in October, after being released by his previous club RC Toulonnais.
