CURRENT WORLD CHAMPION Neil Robertson has been beaten by Peter Ebdon in the first round at the Shanghai Masters.
2002 World Champion Ebdon won 5-4 with a break of 62 in the final frame. Steve Davis was also knocked out- losing 5-3 in a low scoring match against Jamie Cope.
Mark Selby survived a 99 break- the highest of the round so far- to defeat local wildcard Mei Xi Wen 5-2.
