Robin van Persie’s goal sparked an epic online Photoshop battle

Oh, internet. Never change.

LAST NIGHT, THE Netherlands trounced Spain 5-1 in Brazil. But all the talk was of this incredible diving header by Robin van Persie:

It created what is likely to become one of the images of the tournament:

Van Persie was swiftly named The Flying Dutchman. And the internet, needless to say, was not slow to react.

A giant Photoshop battle began.
