Here’s how Martin O’Neill and Robbie Keane voted in the Ballon d’Or Awards

No surprises who the Republic of Ireland manager and captain went for.

CRISTIANO RONALDO ONCE again walked away with the FIFA Ballon D’Or award this evening in Zurich.

And both Martin O’Neill and Robbie Keane backed the winner in their votes for the award. The Portuguese star was the number one choice for the Republic of Ireland manager and captain along with media representative Paul Kelly.

O’Neill and Keane both went for Lionel Messi as their number two choice but differed when it came to their third choice.

Chelsea striker Diego Costa got O’Neill’s vote while Keane went for Real Madrid’s Welsh wizard Gareth Bale.

Keane went for the same three players that he voted for last year and in the same order. Last year O’Neill had gone for Messi, Ronaldo and Bale.

Full details here on the breakdown of votes.
