As things stand, Rory McIlroy won't be $10 million richer tonight

A bogey and a double-bogey on the front nine could be costly for the world number one.

RORY MCILROY HAS fallen four shots off the pace in the race for the $10 million FedEx Cup bonus.

McIlroy started the evening tied for the lead at the Tour Championship but shot two-over-par 37 on the front nine at East Lake.

A double-bogey on the par-three sixth and a single on the ninth have left the world number one in fourth place on seven-under-par.

Playing partner Billy Horschel leads on -11 after nine while Jim Furyk and Justin Rose have also moved into contention on -9 (thru 11) and -8 (thru 12) respectively.
