Ouch!

This rugby league player suffered one of the ugliest hand injuries we've seen

Chev Walker of the Bradford Bulls was surely in pain after this ‘scratch’.

RUGBY IS NOT a game for the faint of heart, with the league code usually offering up seriously physical contests.

While bumps and bruises are always expected, Bradford Bulls player Chev Walker was probably somewhat surprised to look down and see his hand split open during Sunday’s Super League clash with the Huddersfield Giants.

The 31-year-old admitted on Twitter that he thought he was going to need surgery to close up the wound, but thankfully extensive stitches did the job.

Walker sustained the gruesome cut while attempting a tap tackle during the Bulls’ 52-26 defeat to the Giants, but compared to some of his previous injuries, called this “nowt but a scratch”.

The Leeds man suffered an horrific leg break back in 2009, so it is easy to see why he is laughing off suggestions that his hand wound is a serious issue.
