HE MAY ONLY have been in temporary charge of Manchester United for four matches but Ryan Giggs’ tenure is the subject of ITV’s latest football documentary and it airs tonight at 9pm.
Produced by Fulwell 73, the company behind the immensely successful Class of 92 film, Life of Ryan: Caretaker Manager follows the 40 year-old as he agrees to take over as the club’s interim boss following David Moyes’ sacking.
To tease tonight’s premiere, two promotional clips have been doing the rounds.
In the first, Giggs admits to having broken down in tears following United’s final game of the campaign against Southampton.
The second gives an incredible insight into how Giggs made his team selections.
Moving the names of United players around a whiteboard, Giggs leans heavily on the opinions and experience of his coaching staff and listens intently while Nicky Butt, Paul Scholes, Phil Neville and Chris Woods all offer their opinions.
