Japanese team's goal celebration remembers tsunami anniversary

Players of J-League side Sanfrecce Hiroshima spelt out the date of the tragedy during an Asian Champions League game today.

SANFRECCE HIROSHIMA OF Japan paid tribute to those who lost their lives in the tsunami which hit the country in 2011 earlier today.

The club were facing Australian outfit Central Coast Mariners in the Asian Champions League and spelt out the date 3/11 (11 March) after Tsukasa Shiotani’s opener.

They went on to lose the game 2-1.
