Scholes would consider England return - report

The player is reportedly open to a return if manager Roy Hodgson wants him back.

PAUL SCHOLES WOULD consider a return to the England team if Roy Hodgson wants him back, according to reports.

Fabio Capello attempted to persuade the midfielder to come back for the 2010 World Cup, however he declined the offer, saying he was reluctant to travel on such short notice.

However, the Daily Mail reports that the 37-year-old is open to joining up with the squad if he is approached by Hodgson.

And with Scott Parker already a concern for the tournament, many people would view Scholes as the ideal candidate to come into the side.

Hodgson names his 23-man squad on Wednesday.
