Seamus Moynihan's got himself a new Kerry football job helping out Darragh Ó Sé

The Glenflesk club man will be a Kerry U21 selector next year.

KERRY LEGEND SEAMUS Moynihan’s appointment as a county U21 football selector for 2015 was confirmed last night.

Darragh Ó Sé, whose two year term expired with the defeat to Cork in the Munster U21 championship last March, has been appointed for another one-year term as Kingdom boss.

Moynihan has now been drafted in by Ó Sé as a selector. Two more selectors will be added to the setup at the next meeting of the Kerry county board.

Moynihan brings a wealth of football experience to the role after a glittering senior career that saw him win four All-Ireland senior titles, eight Munster senior medals, four National football league crowns and three Allstars awards.

Kerry last won a Munster U21 football title in 2008 and Moynihan will be hoping to help them break Cork’s recent stranglehold on the grade in the province. Cork have won the last four Munster U21 finals.

Kerry’s underage prospects have been boosted this year by the county minor footballers reaching the All-Ireland final last Sunday with a semi-final win over Mayo while Pobalscoil Chorca Dhuibhne won the Hogan Cup in Croke Park last April.
