TWO MEN HAVE been arrested today in a public order incident in Dublin before the match between Bohemians and Shamrock Rovers in Dalymount Park.
A garda spokesperson told TheJournal.ie that the incident took place on the Phibsboro Road, Dublin, at approximately 1.45pm this afternoon. Two groups of rival fans clashed, with around 40 people involved in scuffles with gardaĆ and each other.
It is understood that various objects were thrown at gardaĆ but they brought the situation under control quickly.
Two men, one in his 30s and the other in his 20s, were arrested and taken to Mountjoy Garda Station. They were charged and later released and are due to appear in court on 8 April.
