Shamrock Rovers appoint a short-term replacement for Pat Fenlon

31-year-old Stephen Bradley will take charge ahead of Thursday’s Europa League qualifying second leg Finland.

STEPHEN BRADLEY HAS been named Shamrock Rovers caretaker manager as the club looks to replace Pat Fenlon on a short-term basis.

The SSE Airtricity League Premier Division side parted company with Fenlon over the weekend, with the news coming just days after the Hoops had suffered defeat in the first leg of their Europa League qualifier to RoPS of Finland at Tallaght Stadium.

Assistant boss Bradley will now take charge ahead of Thursday’s second leg, while Glenn Cronin and midfielder Stephen McPhail (as player-coach) are set to assist him.

The 31-year-old, a former Arsenal youth player and Ireland U21 international, won the league title with Drogheda United in 2007 and also enjoyed stints with Rovers, St Patrick’s Athletic and Limerick after a brief spell in Scotland.
