SHANE LONG WILL not feature In tonight’s Euro 2012 qualifier at Lansdowne Rd.

The West Brom forward has picked up a light calf strain and will not now line out alongside Robbie Keane against Slovakia, as planned. Long was named in the starting XI by manager Giovanni Trapattoni yesterday.

The FAI have confirmed that the decision is a ‘precautionary measure’. Long remains in the squad in advance of the trip to Russia next week.

Wolves striker, Kevin Doyle will now partner Keane up front.

We’ll liveblog the action from the Aviva Stadium tonight.
