'F*** me!' Slaven Bilic gets ITV's Euro 2016 coverage off to a colourful start

And no, he wasn’t describing Payet’s goal.

WEST HAM MANAGER Slaven Bilic seemed to forget he was on live television last night as Euro 2016 got underway.

The former Croatia player and manager is part of ITV’s punditry team for the competition in France but he couldn’t hide his dismay at Romania striker Bogdan Stancu missing a glorious chance from close range to give his team the lead, with Bilic saying “he’s not a centre-back, and then you go like f*** me.”

Bilic may also have had a similar reaction when his West Ham midfielder Dimitri Payet scored a stunning late winner for France with potential suitors lining up for one of his team’s most creative players.

The 47-year-old is one of the most eccentric characters in British football with his straight-talking no-nonsense approach, while he is also a qualified lawyer, fluent in several languages and also known for his love of rock music.
