LOI round-up: Sligo continue winning ways, Pat's beat Derry

Ian Barcklough’s men secure a relatively comfortable victory against Bohs this evening.

SLIGO ROVERS BEAT Bohemians 3-1 this evening to extend their lead at the top of the table to nine points.

Ian Barclough’s men went 3-0 ahead in the first half, thanks to goals from Mark Quigley, Raffaele Cretaro and Lee Lynch.

Bohs hit back late in the second half through Keith Ward, however it proved too little, too late for the visitors.

And in tonight’s other game at Richmond Park, St Patrick’s Athletic were made to work for a 3-0 win over Derry City.

It wasn’t all plain sailing for the hosts, as they didn’t open the scoring until the 57th minute, when Sean O’Connor put them in the lead.

Jake Kelly then scored a decisive second goal with just under five minutes remaining, before Vinny Faherty put the icing on the cake with a third in injury time.
